Paul Snyder
Mr. Snyder has been in heavy/highway construction for over 25 years. In 2002, Mr. Snyder started American West Construction, LLC (AWC). At its 20th anniversary, AWC had completed over 600 construction projects valued at more than $385 million. In his capacity as company president, Mr. Snyder has managed every aspect of the company from personnel management to project procurement. In addition to starting and running his own construction companies, Mr. Snyder has spent his career estimating and managing a wide variety of work ranging from $100+ million highway projects to $ 1 million infrastructure improvements/developments.
Brian Schrameyer
Mr. Schrameyer started with American West Construction, LLC (AWC) in November of 2003 and became a member in January of 2009. Throughout his career at AWC, he has estimated and managed jobs that have included earthwork, utilities, and concrete structures for both private and public owners.
Rob Casagranda
Mr. Casagranda joined American West Construction, LLC (AWC) in 2009. Mr. Casagranda has a strong accounting background both in job experience and education. Mr. Casagranda manages all treasury functions and cash flow management for AWC in addition to overseeing all Human Resource functions.
Joe Silvestri
Mr. Silvestri has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. He began his career as an intern with a large construction firm in Montana. After graduation, he was hired by the same firm as a project engineer and quickly worked his way up to project manager. Before coming to American West Construction, Mr. Silvestri served as the Vice President of Operations for a Colorado-based construction company and currently serves in the same capacity for American West Construction.
Joshua Luebbert
Mr. Luebbert has been in the heavy civil construction industry for over 15 years. Prior to joining American West Construction, LLC (AWC) in April of 2017, Mr. Luebbert worked in remote Alaska and Northern Canada on projects ranging from ice road construction to dam reconstruction. Since joining the AWC team, Mr. Luebbert has managed over $25 million worth of public and private projects across Colorado. Mr. Luebbert particularly enjoys the challenge of working in the mountains of Colorado on the DOT roadway and culvert rehabilitation projects that he has managed.
Brian Bushey
With over two decades of experience in the heavy/highway construction sector, Mr. Bushey has developed a comprehensive skill set in this field. His journey, spanning numerous roles from a laborer to a project manager, has equipped him with a diverse range of insights and practical knowledge. In October 2009, Mr. Bushey brought his expertise to American West Construction as a field superintendent. He has since advanced to the role of Operations Manager, where he continues to contribute significantly to the organization’s success.
Shannon Buchanan
In January 2023, AWC was fortunate to have Ms. Buchanan join their team. With a track record spanning over 30 years, she brings a wealth of experience as a highly accomplished Senior Accountant. Throughout her career, Ms. Buchanan has consistently delivered invaluable financial insights to management by conducting research, analyzing accounts, and preparing accurate and comprehensive financial statements. Her expertise encompasses all facets of full-cycle accounting, with a notable emphasis on the intricacies of the construction industry.
Bob Casagranda
Jon Miklya
Mr. Miklya joined American West Construction, LLC (AWC) in August of 2016. Mr. Miklya is a skilled project manager with over 12 years of experience in the field of construction and commercial development.
Cary Neibauer
Mr. Neibauer has worked in heavy civil construction for over 7 years. Starting as an inspector, he moved on to become a project engineer. Projects that he has been involved with all consisted of underground work and mainline highway improvements. He has been a part of $15 million – $600 million dollar projects.
Chantel Lucero
In October 2020, Ms. Lucero became a valuable member of American West Construction, LLC (AWC) when she assumed the position of Project Manager Assistant. She embraced a fresh chapter in her career in 2023 by transitioning into the role of estimator. Ms. Lucero brings more than 5 years of construction and commercial development experience to her new role.

Shawn Greenwood
Shawn brings over 25 years of dynamic professional experience, in leading teams, managing projects, and financial oversight across real estate and technical sectors. Her background includes a Master’s degree in Real Estate & The Built Environment and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Her current role involves supporting the estimating team.
Brady Robinson
Mr. Robinson joined American West Construction, LLC in August of 2020 as a Project Engineer and was promoted to Project Manager in 2022. He has a professional background as a project engineer and 6 years of experience in construction. Mr. Robinson has an educational background in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. Mr. Robinson particularly enjoys the challenge of working in the mountains of Colorado on the various projects he has helped manage.
Scott Stutler
Mr. Stutler joined AWC in May 2023, bringing with him a wealth of experience and an unwavering commitment to excellence. After a 22-year career in the Marine Corps, where he held the position of senior enlisted leader for over 1000 Marines, Mr. Stutler embarked on a new chapter of his life in Colorado. Drawing upon his extensive expertise in sales, operations, and executive leadership, Mr. Stutler’s professional journey has been further enriched by his noteworthy achievements, including the attainment of an MBA and an MS in Management and Organizational Leadership from the University of Colorado.
Steve Raper

Mr. Raper joined American West Construction in July 2020, initially assuming the role of Project Engineer. He brought four years of hands-on experience in Underground Utility and Heavy Civil Construction and a degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University. His involvement in various projects since joining the company highlights his ability to apply his knowledge and skills effectively. Leveraging his educational foundation and industry experience, he has progressed to the position of Project Manager, where he continues to demonstrate his expertise and leadership skills.
Alex D. Gustafson
Mr. Gustafson joined American West Construction in July 2023. He served as a combat engineer in the United States Marine Corps, where he enhanced his leadership, management, mentoring, and counseling skills. He also obtained OSHA 10 & 30-Hour Certification and OSHA-Hazmat Awareness. He graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He also holds two Associate of Science degrees from Northwestern Connecticut Community College, one in Engineering Sciences and one in Liberal Arts and Science. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Epsilon Phi Tau Honor Societies, and was the vice president of Beta Theta Pi fraternity at the University of Colorado.

Ms. Brown joined American West Construction, LLC (AWC) in May of 2013. Ms. Brown is a skilled administrator with over 15 years of experience in the engineering and construction field. Ms. Brown has extensive experience working on all phases of DoD, Design/Bid/Build, as well as commercial engineering/construction projects.
Valerie Miller
Ms. Miller joined American West Construction, LLC (AWC) in August of 2015 and is AWC’s Accounts Payable Supervisor. Ms. Miller has over 21 years of experience in the field of accounting with an emphasis on construction account balances and analysis.

Tyler Pagel
Mr. Pagel possesses more than a decade of expertise in the construction industry, specializing in field management and safety. His extensive experience encompasses managing a range of medium to large industrial and commercial general contracting projects, which includes the oversight of all subordinate tiers of work. Presently, he is accountable for training and instructing at American West Construction enhancing the safety standards and adherence to compliance regulations.
Kris Lister
Mr. Lister boasts a distinguished career spanning over 20 years in Safety Management. His professional journey includes hands-on experience as a Laborer and Foreman, as well as strategic roles in Safety Management for heavy civil infrastructure projects across Colorado and neighboring states. Additionally, he has contributed to high-level Research and Development contracts for local utility providers, demonstrating a diverse skill set. In September of 2021, Mr. Lister brought his extensive expertise to American West Construction, where he currently serves as Safety Manager.
Guy Dillon
Mr. Dillon is a highly respected leader with over seven years of experience in project management. He has cultivated strong client relationships through personalized training and has earned recognition as a product subject matter expert. His roles have ranged from superintendent to foreman, overseeing the installation of over 450,000 linear feet of advanced UV technology. Mr. Dillon’s diverse background and proven track record make him an invaluable asset at American West Construction.
Bill McCartney
Mr. McCartney has over 35 years of experience working on and managing specialized fleets and heavy equipment. He has a business degree from the University of California and spent the first 19 years of his career turning wrenches and eventually running a commercial truck service company. Mr. McCartney joined the American West Construction team in June of 2022 as Equipment Manager.
Lisbet Sandoval
Marvin Fernandez
Mr. Fernandez is a seasoned professional in trenchless technology, having overseen the successful completion of over $30 million in pipe rehabilitation projects. He specializes in a range of techniques, including cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), centrifugally cast concrete pipe (CCCP), sliplining, cellular grouting, and pipe invert paving. With extensive expertise in these methods, he now leads AWC’s trenchless technology crews, playing a key role in the growth and leadership of the company’s pipe rehabilitation division.
Dan Smith
Mr. Smith joined American West Construction, LLC (AWC) in March 2016 as a Foreman and was promoted to Superintendent in 2020. Mr. Smith has more than 30 years of experience in utility construction. Over the course of these years, Mr. Smith has gained a wide variety of heavy/highway construction experience as he has worked in every capacity from Heavy Equipment Operator to Superintendent.
Josh Whitney
Mr. Whitney has over 23 years of construction experience with 17 years focused on civil construction. He joined American West Construction, LLC (AWC) in 2014 as a heavy equipment operator and worked his way up to foreman before moving on from AWC in 2015 to pursue work with another company. He returned to AWC in 2022 as a superintendent with extensive experience in earthwork and road construction.
Kael Blair
Mr. Blair has more than thirty years of experience in heavy/highway construction. Over the course of these years, Mr. Blair has gained a wide variety of heavy/highway construction experience as he has worked in every capacity from laborer to superintendent. In March of 2014, Mr. Blair joined American West Construction, LLC (AWC) as a foreman and was promoted to superintendent in 2016. As a superintendent, Mr. Blair is responsible for the supervision of four pipe crews and current projects valued over $30 million.

Mr. Gosnell joined American West Construction in 2023 bringing with him an extensive track record spanning more than two decades in specialized pipeline and underground infrastructure construction. The most recent portion of his construction experience has been dedicated to supervisory positions.

Ms. Wolf is an experienced Project Engineer who began her career in the construction industry in 2016. In 2023, she brought her expertise to American West Construction. She is academically accomplished, holding a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Technology as well as an Associate of Science in Geology, both from Colorado Mesa University. Her career is distinguished by her contributions to a wide range of projects ranging from $150,000 to $84 million.

In May 2023, AWC welcomed Mr. Ramirez to the team. He has four years of experience working on projects related to utilities and earthwork. As a topman, he is versed in operating various machinery, installing pipes, and excelling in a multitude of tasks. Most recently, he’s gained experience managing small jobs and emergency projects for AWC. Mr. Ramirez is currently enrolled at MSU Denver, where he is working towards a degree in Construction Project Management.
