Big Dry Creek Parallel Sewer Phase 1

This project involved the installation of approximately 4,530 linear feet of 21-inch C900 sewer pipe parallel to an existing sewer to improve the system’s capacity to manage high sewage flows. The scope of work included constructing eight 60-inch diameter manholes and five 72-inch diameter manholes to facilitate system maintenance and operation.

Two auger bores were conducted to navigate under critical roadways, minimizing disruptions to traffic and existing infrastructure. The first bore passed beneath York Street, while the second was completed under Highway 7, both requiring careful coordination and precision to ensure structural integrity and safety.

Additional project activities included the removal and replacement of asphalt pavement and concrete sidewalks, restoring surface conditions to pre-construction standards.
